Dark Donovan has re-entered Powderkeg Studio and has begun recording their next album tentatively titled, EMBRACE, with a full band!
This streamlined version of Dark Donovan contains a lot of familiar faces. Ali Abolghasemi (bass) and Jared Falquecee (lead and rhythm guitar) both appeared on the album, BRAINSTORM (2022). They are joined with crusty, old stalwarts Tom Doyle (guitars and vocals) and Dennis Mirovsky (drum and percussion) to form a heavier, darker Dark Donovan!

In the beginning there were supposed to be two!
Brainstorm: the album with a full band thrashing away and Brainstorm: Acoustic to give the audience an idea where these songs came from. There were supposed to be shows and videos and lots of the other typical shenanigans that goes with one of these projects. Of course, as the cliché goes, "2020 had other plans". Boo-urns! So instead the throwaway second disc became the priority. It also became a release, a source of constant frustration whilst learning new programs and familiarizing one's self with a a new system. But it also became an exciting new experience; a way of getting better acquainted with new roles for the 2nd half of a musical journey that started over two decades ago. There is nothing perfect about this, its flaws are abundantly apparent but that's the way it goes; the way it's sometimes meant to be. It's just another stop on the journey.
